Tailor

We are seeking an experienced tailor for freelance projects including hat trimmings, mask making, making tote bags, and various sewing projects.

 

Must be well versed in different machines and previous experience in a clothing line is preferred. Industrial sewing machines, knowledge of fabrics, and trimmings of all kinds.  Also, be highly organized, be on time and deliver a clean product. The ideal candidate complements and supports our enthusiastic, supportive, positive environment, and exceptional customer service based culture.  As a member of the creative team, you must be ready and willing to take on a wide variety of projects and back up other team members, as needed. This position will report to the CEO.  This is paid by the job type of position.

Essential Functions:

  • Sewing clothing, mask, hats, bags and more

  • Inspecting, measuring, and cutting fabric

  • Ironing, folding, packaging finished products

  • Basic sewing machine use

  • Working with others to create a finished product

  • Planning and cutting fabric

  • Sewing buttons and other items on to garments

  • Help with design suggestions

  • Alterations as needed

Position Requirements:

  • Hand sewing skills, including embroidery, buttons, etc.

  • Must have the ability to operate industrial sewing machines

  • Extensive experience with all types of fabrics

  • Have an artist creative personality

Work-From-Home Requirements:

  • Dedicated, private home workspace free of distractions and interruptions

  • Established home internet connectivity; minimum internet download speed of 15 Mbps | upload speed of 10 Mbps

  • Understand your network environment at home

  • Ability to troubleshoot their own devices & connectivity

  • Sewing equipment 

  • Working from home is determined by the job
