Social Media/Apparel Assistant

The Social Media and Apparel Assistant will implement The Woke Brand social media content across multiple digital platforms and will be expected to drive business objectives and opportunities across all channels. This individual will advise on social media marketing trends and execute social content distribution. The ideal candidate should be a visual storyteller with strong communication and writing skills. The right applicant will adhere to and maintain regular and punctual attendance, safety, and quality standards and follow standard processes while identifying opportunities for improvement. This person will be flexible while working in an ambiguous environment with strong attention to detail, possess the ability to quickly prioritize tasks, collaborate, multi-task, and enjoy learning new things, with a commitment to delighting our customers. Having a creative mind is a plus and you must have reliable transportation.  This position will report directly to the CEO. Must be available to work on-site and/or work from home.

Essential Functions:
  • Order Inventory and receive, stock, and replenish product

  • Utilize inventory management systems to process and count product

  • Taking orders via phone calls, emails, or messages.  

  • Checkout customers by handling cash and provide accurate change to customers

  • Trend watching for apparel quotes and font/design suggestions

  • Weeding design for garments, simple sewing, apply attachments, cutting, and painting on garments

  • Participating and preparing for marketing shoots

  • Attending special events and promoting events

  • Wix website maintenance adding and removing products, creating product descriptions, adding and removing inventory, and marking products for sale

  • Implement social media strategies and best practices across multiple platforms (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, Etsy, Patreon, etc.) and manage the budget for a sponsored post

  • Create a weekly email blast for exclusive customers highlighting upcoming sales, events, and current Woke Brand news

  • Create a weekly post using Canva that will automatically post through Loomly. 

  • Create stories and manage daily image selection and postings to optimize engagement and increase followers

  • Engage daily with potential customers on social media by responding to comments, messenger, and emails during regular business hours.

  • Grow online supporter base and traffic. Set goals with manager around engagement and conversion

  • Leverage The Woke Brand calendar to build strategies for social media campaigns

  • Seek out key influencers and partnership opportunities that are on brand and align with our core strategy

  • Be the main point of contact for all PR, social media influencer and other related inquiries

  • Collaborate with the CEO to develop social media strategies that align with our vision and voice.

  • Strengthen social media outlets by staying on top of beauty trends and developing exciting and appealing content while attracting new and current customers to continue to follow our brand.

  • Develop articulate and eye-catching captions that are well written, on-brand, and consistent with company voice and tone.

  • Stay abreast of key industry trends, competitive insights, and emerging social media technologies. Research and report on competitor and industry leaders in social media.

  • Execute strategic social strategies and campaigns for new product launches

  • Maintain all reporting and key metrics for social media, PR and influencer engagement

  • Participate in frequent refresher training to always conduct correct moderating policies

  • Make suggestions for improving efficiency

  • Strong attention to detail, specifically spelling, grammar and punctuation

  • Strong prioritization skills with the ability to manage and complete multiple projects simultaneously within time constraints

  • Proficiency in publishing & planning tools like Canva and Loomly, as well as native platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, and whatever is next.

  • Must have a keen eye for beautiful and inspiring content, be an effective storyteller through written communication and have a passion for beauty and pop culture

Work-From-Home Requirements:
  • Dedicated, private home workspace free of distractions and interruptions

  • Established home internet connectivity; minimum internet download speed of 15 Mbps | upload speed of 10 Mbps

  • Understand your network environment at home

  • Ability to troubleshoot their own devices & connectivity

  • Working from home is rare for this position but needs to be available as needed
