Apparel Office Manager

We are looking for a skilled Office Manager to undertake a variety of day-to-day office and clerical tasks and some light accounting and human resource work. You will be an integral part in ensuring that our office operations run smoothly and are successful in supporting other business activities. An excellent office manager is, above all, an organized and competent professional with phenomenal communication skills. You will be comfortable dealing with people and able to carry out office duties with accuracy and speed. The goal is to ensure that office operations are efficient and add maximum value to the organization. You are needed to communicate with local Clients & Vendors.  A creative background is a plus to help with design ideas.

Essential Functions:
  • Maintain accurate records for all Accounts Receivable (including collections) and Accounts Payable, payroll and petty cash; process items for an independent accountant as needed

  • Maintain exclusive customer files and reporting

  • Maintain confidentiality of information received regarding the employees, contractors, vendors, and clients

  • Interview, hire and terminate all employees, contractors, or vendors

  • Obtain and maintain all required employee or contractor paperwork from onboarding and manage the files

  • Coordinate and track employee training to ensure that all employees receive orientation and on-going training

  • Handle any reporting or research needed for the company ongoing success

  • Serve as Manager on Duty in the absences of the CEO if needed

  • Attend special events and help clients as needed

  • Maintain great customer service and be aware of current fashion trends

Position Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in office management, bookkeeping, or other similar position preferred

  • Prior Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll experience preferred

  • Self-motivated, organized, and professional. Have a neat, professional, courteous manner and appearance. Possess good public relations, communication, general office, clerical and telephone skills

  • Must have administrative management and supervisory skills

  • Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities and have excellent time management and organizational skills and be able to meet deadlines

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively with different levels of personnel

Work-From-Home Requirements:
  • Dedicated, private home workspace free of distractions and interruptions

  • Established home internet connectivity; minimum internet download speed of 15 Mbps | upload speed of 10 Mbps

  • Understand your network environment at home

  • Ability to troubleshoot their own devices & connectivity

  • Working from home is rare for this position but needs to be available as needed
